DEAR ASIAN YOUTH @ FORT BEND COUNTY

Educating and Empowering Asian Youth

DAY @ FBC is the Fort Bend County chapter of the youth organization/literary magazine Dear Asian Youth - inspiring Asian youth to embrace their true identity while unleashing their inner potential. Our chapter aspires to help our AAPI community embrace their identity and heritage by creating a safe space for members to connect with others who may face similar struggles. We want to encourage those in our diverse and heavily Asian-populated community to use their voice to share the unique experiences or issues they face as an Asian-American. While we do highlight Asian culture and the Asian American experience, we welcome anyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, etc., and we hope that we can make a difference in the world as a unified group of individuals.

NEWS AND UPDATES

Dear Asian Youth @ Fort Bend County strives to uplift the AAPI community in our area by offering opportunities for youth to unite and actively create a positive impact. As a chapter, we aim to participate in community-wide events, such as drives, panels, and fundraisers, and we also plan to partner with local businesses and organizations to directly aid and amplify the voices in our community. Moreover, we will continuously post content relating to Asian identity and political/social activism on our various social media platforms to educate our peers. NO ASIAN HATE

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there are increased levels of hate against Asian-Americans.
DAY @ FBC stands strong in support of the Asian Community.
Please continue to fight against the hate and be safe. One way to fight against the hate is to have important conversations about systemic racism and discrimination with your friends and family, and to educate others in your community.

COMING SOON!

DAY @ FBC is planning many fun and interactive events for this year, so stay tuned for more to come!
